DodoThinks is a geography site, so getting the facts right matters. This page explains where the facts in our games and guides come from, the rules we follow, and how to tell us when something is wrong.

Who Is Responsible

DodoThinks is made by Kashif Sulehria in Lahore, Pakistan, who is responsible for everything published on the site. Read more about DodoThinks.

Where the Facts Come From

• Countries: the United Nations list of 193 member states, plus the two observer states, Vatican City and Palestine, for 195 in total. Why 195?
• Maps and borders: Natural Earth, a free, public domain map dataset used by cartographers around the world.
• Flags: flag-icons, an open source collection of every country's flag.

How We Count Countries

Our games are built on the 195 countries of the UN list. Territories such as Greenland and Puerto Rico, and places with partial international recognition such as Kosovo and Taiwan, appear in some games and lists, but they are shown separately and never counted among the 195. This follows common international usage and is not a political position.

Names

We use the short English names most people know, such as Côte d'Ivoire, Czechia, Eswatini and Myanmar. Games that let you type answers also accept common alternatives like Ivory Coast, Czech Republic, Swaziland and Burma, so you are tested on geography, not spelling conventions.

Corrections

If you spot a wrong flag, capital, border or fact, email hello@dodothinks.online or use the contact page. We fix confirmed mistakes and update the date shown on the page.

Keeping Pages Up to Date

Game and guide pages show when they were last updated. Country facts change rarely, but when they do, such as a renamed country, a moved capital or a new flag, we update the affected games and the pages that mention it.

Statistics From Players

Figures such as the flags players miss most come from anonymous answers, with no names or accounts attached, and are only shown once there are enough answers to be meaningful. The privacy policy explains what is collected.

Independence and Ads

DodoThinks is independent and free to play. It is paid for by visitors who buy a coffee and by advertising. Ads are kept separate from the games and guides, and nobody pays to change what our pages say.
