What Makes It Different
- Clues come from food, landmarks, animals, sport and inventions, never from flags.
- The emoji start vague and get more obvious, so the puzzle gets easier as you go.
- Distance and direction after every guess, so geography helps as much as trivia.
- Great with friends: share your result and compare scores.
Can you get from ๐ฅ๐ง to France before the Eiffel Tower gives it away? Guess the Country by Emoji turns world trivia into a quick daily puzzle: a few emoji, six guesses and a clue after every miss.
How the Emoji Clues Work
Every country has four emoji, ordered from the vaguest to the giveaway. You see two at the start and one more after each wrong guess, so by your third guess you have all four.
The emoji stick to things a country is known for around the world: food and drink, landmarks, animals, sport and inventions. Flags are never used, because that would be too easy.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a guess the country by emoji game?
Yes. Guess the Country by Emoji on DodoThinks is free, has a new puzzle every day and an unlimited mode for more.
Which countries are included?
68 countries with clues most people would recognise, from France and Japan to Bhutan and Madagascar. Your guesses can be any of the 195 countries.
Why do some emoji fit more than one country?
That is on purpose. The first emoji are shared by several countries, which is where the distance and direction clues come in. The last emoji is usually the giveaway.
