Frequently Asked Questions

Are the word searches printable?

Yes. Print gives the grid with the list of names and a second page with every name marked, for class or homework.

Do names go backwards?

Yes: names can run in any of the eight directions, so read right to left and bottom to top too. Spaces, accents and hyphens are left out (Buenos Aires is BUENOSAIRES).

How are the puzzles made?

A program builds them from the same country, capital, US state and river lists as the site's quizzes, so the spellings match.
