Why they look alike
All three come from the flag of Gran Colombia, the country that Simรณn Bolรญvar led and that broke up in 1830 into Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela. Each kept the yellow, blue and red, and players in our flag games mix up all three.
How to tell them apart
Look at the middle first. Stars: Venezuela. A coat of arms: Ecuador. Nothing: Colombia.
