Where the colours come from
Monaco's red and white are the colours of the Grimaldi family, who have ruled it since the 13th century. Indonesia's go back to the red and white banners of the Majapahit empire, and the flag was raised when Indonesia declared independence in 1945. Poland's white and red come from its coat of arms, a white eagle on red.
Indonesia and Poland: the mix-up our players make most
In our flag games, Indonesia and Poland are the most swapped pair after Australia and New Zealand: 9 times so far. The fix is one rule. Red on top is Indonesia (or Monaco). White on top is Poland.
