Maps

How it works

  1. 1

Pick a game and a round

Any map, flag or capitals game below. Then the round: easy, harder, or the whole map with every region once.

  2. 2

Share one link or the QR code

Students open it on a phone, tablet or computer and type a first name. Or they go to dodothinks.online/class and type the 6 letter code.

  3. 3

    Watch the live board

Scores arrive as students finish, and the top 3 get gold, silver and bronze trophies. Put the board on the projector, take a name off, end the challenge, download the results.

Made for classrooms

  • Same questions for everyone

Every student gets the same questions in the same order, so scores are fair to compare. Each student gets one try, so the first score counts.

  • No accounts, no emails

A first name or a nickname is all a student types. Nothing to install and nothing to sign up for, for you or for them.

  • Deleted after 30 days

A challenge and its results are deleted 30 days after it closes. You can take any name off the board at any time.

  • No ads in class rounds

A game opened from a class link, the board and this page show no ads.

  • Works on any device

Phones, tablets, Chromebooks and the interactive whiteboard. The maps zoom, and small places get a magnifier on touch screens.

  • 20 languages

The games are written in English, Spanish, German, French, Arabic, Japanese and more, each with its own country maps.

Questions teachers ask

Do students need an account?

No. They open your link or scan the QR code, type a first name or a nickname and play. There is nothing to install and no email to give.

Does everyone get the same questions?

Yes. Every student gets the same questions in the same order with the same answer choices, so the scores are fair to compare. Each student gets one try, and the board shows the score from that try.

Can I set it as homework?

Yes. Keep the challenge open for a week or a month and students play from home on any phone, tablet or computer. The board shows each student’s score and time, with trophies for the top 3.

What do you keep about students?

Only the name they type, their score and their time. No email, no account, no location. A challenge and its results are deleted 30 days after it closes, and you can take any name off the board yourself.

How do I find my board again?

This device remembers your challenges (the list above appears once you have one). The board link carries a private key: open it on another device, bookmark it or email it to yourself, and the teacher buttons come with it. Do not share that link with students; share the student link or the code.

Which games can I use?

308 games: every map quiz (the world, each continent, US states, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, India, Australia and more), flags, capitals and more, plus each language section’s own country maps.

Is it free?

Yes, class challenges are free, with no limit on classes. DodoThinks is paid for by ads on its other pages and an optional Premium for live 1v1 games.
